Beth Diamond has nearly 30 years' experience in communications, including post secondary teaching, corporate communications and private consulting. She has spent her career in Calgary and for the last 24 years has provided strategic counsel as an independent consultant. Beth is the founding partner of NATIONAL's Calgary office.
Beth leads NATIONAL's Energy Practice and is a trusted advisor to many of Calgary's senior oil and gas executives. Her current client list includes many of Canada's leading energy companies including Enbridge, Nexen, Canadian Oil Sands, Laricina Energy, Talisman Energy and Alliance Pipeline. Beth also provides senior counsel to energy industry associations including the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers and the Oil Sands Developers Group.
Actively involved in generating ideas on energy policy, Beth has been a driving force behind the creation of the Energy Policy Institute of Canada (EPIC). Her firm also created and administers the Canadian Centre for Energy Information; its goal is to provide objective, bias-balanced information to Canadian, U.S. and international audiences on the energy industry. Beth also developed and led the firm's strategy and advocacy campaign on behalf of the Canadian Coalition for Responsible Environmental Solutions, which successfully argued for a “made in Canada” solution to Kyoto implementation.
